YouTube has become one of the biggest platforms in the world. It is one of the world’s most-visited sites on a daily basis, with millions of people logging on and watching videos from their favorite creators.
Given the popularity of the video streaming site, it is hardly a shock that so many people have decided to try and take advantage of its widespread appeal. Many have created channels in order to gain further exposure, while there have been others who have simply used the platform to get noticed.
While there are many that have become famous because of the platform, there have been a number of celebrities to have used what the site offers, too. Some of the world’s biggest and best-known have built their own channels and succeeded. We all know that there are numerous celebs from the music and film industries to have utilized YouTube, but there are so many others that are equally as famous but appear to have gone under the limelight in terms of their channels.
Prince & Princess of Wales, William & Kate
The next in line to the throne of the United Kingdom, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton both share a YouTube channel. Their profile has gained traction in recent years as they have 661K subscribers in 2023, but it is still relatively under the radar in comparison to others.
The pair regularly keep subscribers informed of the things that they are doing. This could involve certain royal responsibilities and engagements that they have. At the same time, it can also involve shorts that feature the duo as they continue to engage with projects and public duties. Their channel has given viewers an insight into what it is like to be a royal from that point of view, which might help to bring some favorability back to the Royal Family.
Zac Efron
Perhaps one of the biggest stars in Hollywood at times, Zac Efron is another of the fraternity to have a YouTube channel. His channel may have over 1.39 million subscribers, but you would be forgiven if you forgot he had it, as he has not posted a video for over three years.
The “High School Musical” star has a number of travel videos on his channel, as well as videos that are about life in the gym, which happen to feature other famous faces. It is a shame that he has not been uploading more recently, as they can be a great watch!
Josh Peck
Star of “Drake & Josh,” Josh Peck is another who has managed to quietly establish himself a YouTube channel. He does have over 3.5 million subscribers in 2023, but this could be because he hit headlines in the recent past and continues to upload regularly.
It would not be a shock if the videos that he creates and uploads use Final Cut Pro, as they are edited smoothly and allow for an easy and pleasurable watch. Peck can often be seen talking with others as part of his Podcast series, with a number of funny moments taking place with each episode, along with key talking points.
Noah Schnapp
Given the fame that was achieved through the hit series “Stranger Things,” Noah Schnapp perhaps does not need a YouTube channel to create additional exposure for himself and potentially get newer audiences or land a new gig.
He does, though, have a channel. As of 2023, he does have over 4.86 million subscribers, but like some of the other celebrities on this list, you would be forgiven if you had forgotten he had one. It has been a couple of years since he last uploaded, with the last video being a Q&A about how he was dealing with lockdowns. He has other videos that are more enjoyable to watch, but it does not appear as though there will be anything new in the near future.
YouTube is for everyone, not just celebs
Given the power and influence that YouTube has been able to have on the careers and prospects of ordinary people all around the world, there is no denying that anybody can become famous and potentially make a living from the site.
Individuals like Mr. Beast and Justin Bieber have all gone on to be huge successes in their own ways through the site, as has PewDiePie, KSI, and the Logan brothers. With the success that they have all achieved, perhaps there are other celebrities that have small channels that we just do not know about at this moment!
